Braille Announces First Full-Length Solo Album in Over a Decade: Handcrafted Raps

PORTLAND, OR – August 2025 — After more than a decade since his last solo release, hip-hop artist Braille returns with a new full-length project, Handcrafted Raps — a 12-track album produced entirely by beatmaker 1995 and set for a limited vinyl and CD release through GospelBanquet.com.

“This album is personal,” Braille shares. “It’s called Handcrafted Raps because that’s exactly what it is — I’m writing, recording, and mixing every song myself. I’m even making the artwork by hand with my daughter.”

Rooted in DIY spirit and blue-collar work ethic, Handcrafted Raps reflects Braille’s intentional shift back to the joy of creating. “On one hand, I’m just having fun again,” he says. “But it still takes real effort to see it through.  A lot of my friends are tradesmen and we have so much more in common than I used to realize.”

The album’s themes dig deeper, too. As Braille explains, “The concept is also lived out — I’m using the proceeds from this project to help remodel our basement so a family member can move in with us. That’s part of the heart behind it all: creating something that benefits others.”

Musically, the album offers punchy production from 1995, with guest features from Selah the Corner and Aable. Lyrically, the project champions hard work, service, and God’s workmanship — pointing to the idea that the good works we do flow from the good work God has done in us.
